EEStor comment:( not word for word) but: There was no battery damage after one million charges and discharges. Doing the math, one million 5 minute charges would take approximately 10 years. If it takes the same time to discharge there is another 10 years working 24 hrs./day. I seriously doubt if anyone was working on this ultra capacitor system 20 years ago to the point where it was ready for testing like this.

I know you have all have probably seen many, many, claims in regards to different inventions, and that most of these claims have remained unsubstantiated. But, I think we should all remain positive. Remember, it was not long ago that we all believed the sun revolved around the earth, that the earth was flat, and that fast-food was cheap nutrition, so let's try to keep an open mind.

Its pretty clear that this is either an intentional scam or a real technology; it isn't plausible that EEstor has simply made an error in calculations.

I expect its a scam. They have *the* holy grail of alternative energy storage but we find out about it when they make a deal with a glorified golf-cart maker? That a military contractor got involved means nothing because those guys routinely throw money at bogus stuff just to cover their asses.

Also, this looks a little similar to the MDI air car scam, which has been going on for years.

product code 622-1584.
This componeNt have a capacity of about 45nf on datasheet and measure with istrument in our labs;

I have apply 400 Volts pulse and measure
discarge period and it is about 5 ms for 40% remains discarge voltage and 100K resistor.
This mean about 45 nf cap at 400 Volt
The piezo have a tickness of about 7 um
this mean that i have apply 35 Volt/micron with out saturation.
The piezo have 480 square millimeter and
7um tickness this means relative K of about 1100 for 45 nf

Limit of this piezo is breakdown at above of 650V in CC;
I try future investigation with other piezo that have more K for try to find where saturation start;
