I read this document again today.. it is a PDF about UltraCapacitors and batteries in hybrid  vehicles. It is a great document about Electric Vehicles (also called EV's). It discusses the advantages & disadvantages of hybrid energy storage. This document gets very technical talking about cycle statistics, energy dissipation, fuel usage of idle-restart, experiments showing using ultracapacitors with batteries. You will find it interesting.  It was made by the National Renewable Energy Lab.
